I definitely tried to play around with the idea of one historical event changing so much about life in the U.S. I'm sure I could have written 50K just on that, but it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun as writing about Ranger!Jensen :) Jared's not going to forget the weeks when Jensen came to town, that's for sure!
