(+) This year's [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang claiming was the least stressful I'd ever gone through. Claims went up so early and my summary was picked before I even woke up! \o/ Awesome to check LJ and see that I'd been claimed so quickly. Now I'm wicked excited about the story AND my artist and I can't wait to share the summary with y'all. It's gonna be a crazy summer!

(-) The rest of my week had actually been pretty sucky. Stress about turning in my draft, not-so-good sales at the store despite leading up to Mother's Day, family issues, and money woes...and then, on Thursday, I was heading into work when I realized I needed to drop off my rent check. So I drove from my apartment to the office, turned in my check, and when I got back to my car, THE DAMN THING REFUSED TO START. GAAAAAAAAAH. I hate cars. Called my Dad, and when he couldn't jump it (I think his cables were shitty and old), I waited over an hour and a half for AAA to come and tell me that my battery was at the end of it's useable life (the same thing my laptop is currently telling me, but I'm so poor that I can't afford a new battery for it either). At least AAA was willing to replace the battery on the spot so I didn't have to take it into a shop and worry about that too D: Not money I was happy to spend, believe me.

(+) Person of Interest. I have been LOVING this show since last year, got the first season as a gift, and have been mainlining the eps. Reese, guh. And I love Finch, too. The pairing is tougher to get into, or see, but the fic that it produces tends to be really diverse and interesting. I enjoy the dynamics, and of course I'm totally tossing around the idea of a J2 version based on the show. As if I didn't have enough on my fandom-plate right now, but OMG the potential!

I'm happy to hear about the big bang and new show! Those are always exciting, and I can't wait to read the summary; however, I am downright ECSTATIC to read the fic in it's entirety. I'm sure the art will be amazing and compliment your fic beautifully.

Cars suck. No doubt about it. If you're not filthy stinkin rich to afford a brand new car, you're usually stuck with crappy ones until they die slow miserable death. I know this from experience, seeing as how I am driving a pick up from '94 that's already been on one accident and been rebuilt.

I love new shows! Well, it's not exactly new as I've been watching since last season, but I've only just started to creep into the fandom side of things ;)

But yes, Big Bang...seriously thrilled with claiming and I can't wait to get started on the collab!

Ugh, CARS. I'd had my parents' '93 Jeep from the time I was 16 up until a few years ago and it had so many issues at the end! But the battery on my car was the suckiest part of a sucky morning with rushing, bad hair, and then RAIN.

That's great news about your claim. I have to admit, I sometimes let my desire to read a fic be influenced by the artwork. Like the "judging a book by it's cover" thing :)

Car troubles are the worst. I hate that vulnerable feeling that comes with be stranded because of your car. I carry two gallons of water, plus a jug of engine coolant in my van so I won't get stuck on the side of the road, in the dark, again.

I had every intention of watching Person of Interest when it premiered, but I could never find the time. I think it happened about the time my decision to not start any new TV shows was made. I hate it when I get attached to a show and then it doesn't get renewed and I'm left hanging. Kind of how I feel about WIPs :D

Hopefully my artist will be as inspired by my story as I am :P then she can suck people in with her amazing talents!

Ugh, yeah you'll know all about that sickening feeling. I was still in my apartment complex and yet I still felt helpless, dead in the water. At the mercy of other people. I don't blame you for your super-preparedness now.

Person of Interest is great! And when it was one of CBS's top shows last year, I knew it had a future. It's already been renewed for a third season, so you'll have lots of episodes to watch if you ever decide to start. I highly recommend it! Brainy but intriguing, and a lot of fin at times. But the characters are the best part.
