Figured it was past-time that I post my Big Bang summary so you all can roll your eyes and say, 'Wow, it's about time she finished that story and stopped complaining about it!' Be honest, a few of you were thinking that ;)

Anyway, I'm really excited to team up with lylithj2 this year, and since she's excited about the story, I'm even MORE excited :P We're posting pretty early - June 14th - so there's some added pressure, but I definitely work better with a solid deadline.

Without further ado, the (not quite finalized) summary...

Our Parts are Slightly Used

After a long tour of duty in Afghanistan, Jared's dreams are less than kind, but he copes for the sake of those who never made it back. He has come home to Texas, working a steady job as a security guard and trying to patch himself back together. Jared's not expecting to meet someone like Jensen Ackles - a Dallas businessman with confidence and charisma in spades. They connect over coffee breaks and high-spirited basketball games with Jared's vet buddies, and what begins as friendship quickly deepens into a defining romance. Although Jared's willing to share his physical scars with Jensen, the burden of hiding his emotional wounds weighs heavily on both of them. As Jensen scrambles to put a name to his boyfriend's symptoms, Jared struggles each and every day, and neither sees the storm on the horizon until it's too late.

I promise I haven't forgotten about the vampire!fic...It's all edited and 98% ready to go, I just need to finish the final scene. I'm thinking Monday :) It's been hard not to get distracted with all this Big Bang stuff \o/
