Man oh Man you're my best friend, I scream it to the nothingness
There ain't nothing that I need
Hot and heavy, pumpkin pie, chocolate candy, Jesus Christ
There ain't nothin' pleasin' me more than you
Home, Let me come Home
Home is whenever I'm with you
Home, yes I am Home
Home is wherever I'm with you
I follow you into the park, through the jungle, through the dark
I've never loved one like you
Moats and boats and waterfalls, alleyways and payphone calls
I been everywhere with you
Laugh until we think we'll die, barefoot on a summer night
Never could be sweeter than with you
Sam Thacker - If You're Gone ( The lyrics... )
I so love his voice - just enough "scratch" to make it awesome and imperfect. He was amazing to hear live.
Saw STAR TREK tonight, and it was AMAZING. I may have turned my back on LOST, but I have crazy respect for J.J. Abrams now that he pulled that off so well. More later on that, but I just have to say that seeing it with my mom, who watched the Original Series every day during college, was so much fun!

Audra Mae - Forever Young
Music can make or break or show for me, I mean who knows if I would have completely fallen for Supernatural without the amazing music in the first couple of seasons? But this song, used at the beginning and the end of "The Sleep of Babies" was used so well. The exact same song, used with a montage of the same characters both times, only the circumstances at the end were the complete opposites from the opening. The song reinforced the uplifting and peaceful opening shots, but at the end, it only added to the despair the characters were feeling.
Anyway, in a word, it was COOL. So, there you go.

This is perhaps less of a soundtrack, and more of a list of the songs that made this story possible. "Africa" became the 3rd most listened to song on my iTunes, and that's saying something. Several of these are instrumental tracks, or sung in foreign languages, which helped immensely to set the fic's mood. More Rustic Overtones available upon request! Dave Matthews Band is mentioned several times in the fic, but picking my favorite DMB songs for this soundtrack would be like picking my favorite organ [even though, for the record, it's SPLEEN].
