Warnings: none. Takes place a little after current canon, no s14 spoilers as I haven’t watched beyond the first few episodes.
Summary: It took Dean a few weeks to realize what was really going on with his brother. Once he did, it took him another week to work out how he felt about the revelation.

Notes: For runedgirl… It was my pleasure to write this for you! Especially since I felt like your prompts could have been mine, too :) It’s a little bit of a headcanon I’ve always had, despite all the reasons it probably could never happen, so I had to handwave a few details to make it work. I tried to work in a couple of your prompts and as many of your likes as I could—trust me, I wish I had time to add even more because I love this idea so much. Merry Christmas, my friend!

Back around with a handful of fills for spn_masquerade! I had the opportunity to fill five amazing prompts, all very very different but fun in their own way. Some new things for me, and some not :)

notes. This story is set in an imagined Season 12 and thoroughly ignores the majority of Season 11. In my version, Chuck never got involved, they were able to banish Lucifer again, and Sam and Dean were forced to find a way to lock Amara back in her cage. This was my attempt at writing an ‘episode’ of Supernatural.

While technically a sequel to my pre-series story, Don’t Let it Ride You, this can be read as a stand-alone. All you need to know is that Dean and Sam’s relationship ended when Sam left for Stanford and hasn’t resumed.

I'm still not 100% sure I'll have time to finish a draft, but I'm doing my best to participate in spn_j2_bigbang again this year. Can't break the streak now, can I?

Honestly I had no idea what to write! After #Jaxcon, I brainstormed a few ideas with dugindeep but nothing really stuck. I don't know where it came from, but I finally settled on the idea of writing a sequel to an old Sam/Dean story that's always been one of my favorites, which just happened to be set in Charleston. I'll take any excuse to write about my beautiful city, as the new story brings them back to the Lowcountry for a hunt :P

I'm so excited to write case!fic again. I've missed writing Sam and Dean, and this will be my first Sam/Dean Big Bang in like five or six years.

It's going to be EPIC. Charleston setting, hunting on oak-lined plantations and in old Southern cemeteries, classic wincest angst, and a hunt based on one of the best, if not THE BEST, short ghost stories of all time (which I'm shocked SPN hasn't used yet), The Yellow Wallpaper.

Now if I could just finish the damn thing! I haven't had a lot of time to write - traveling for work, store stuff, and taking an impromptu trip up to Washington D.C. to meet up with one_2_3_4 and play tourist before hanging out with all the #DCcon gals! Besides getting to see dugindeep, cherie_morte, and riyku, I also got to meet more lovelies like souslelys, rozearkana, and more! So much fangirling - it was exhausting but so worth it.

It becomes clear that Sam's not as alone as he thought, nor can he escape from his strange prison. He fights against the power holding him there, afraid every day that Lucifer will hunt him down and force him to say yes. The Apocalypse continues to rage outside of his isolated world and Sam fears for his brother's life. As time drags on, and as Lucifer takes Sam to ever more seductive places in his dreams, Sam realizes that the people of Bells Pond may provide the key to everything he's been searching for but never thought he'd find. And waiting in the future is an unforeseen miracle, if Sam can last that long.

Dad has plenty of work, and Dean has Sam. That is, until locals start dying and the Winchester brothers realize that something other than a spirit, possibly more sinister, is at work in the Lowcountry.
